NI Joins Industry-Leading Test and Measurement Companies to Host PXI Technology and Applications Conference Series

NEWS RELEASE – Feb. 7, 2006 – National Instruments is joining more than 20 leading test, measurement and technology companies, including Advantest Technology Solutions, Aeroflex, Acqiris, Tektronix and Geotest-Marvin Test Systems, to host the PXI Technology and Applications Conference (PXI TAC). The PXI TAC is a series of free, full-day events in 15 cities across the United States, Canada and Mexico featuring in-depth informational sessions on the latest PXI platform technologies and roadmaps, case study presentations, hands-on technical training and networking with industry experts.

“Engineers designing today’s test and measurement systems are challenged with matching their technical test system requirements with the optimal measurement hardware, instrument communication buses and software architectures for their application needs,” said Richard McDonell, NI product marketing group manager for PXI, instrument control and automated test software. “The PXI TAC provides a unique opportunity for engineers to meet with industry experts on each of these test system design topics and determine which test and measurement platform is ideal for their application needs.”

The PXI TAC series explores how engineers in design, validation and test can use PXI to save time, increase performance and reduce costs. Specific topics for technical application presentations and demonstrations include practical guidelines for PXI system integration and connectivity with traditional benchtop instruments, designing flexible RF and communications test systems, solving high-channel-count data acquisition applications, integrating mixed-signal test systems, and selecting real-time operating systems for deterministic control and test.

The PXI TAC takes place in the following cities on the corresponding dates:

Dallas, March 28
Irvine, May 9
Juarez, Mexico, May 30
Orlando, April 13
San Jose, May 11
Tijuana, Mexico, June 2
Detroit, April 18
Albuquerque, May 16
Minneapolis, June 8
Chicago, April 20
Denver, May 18
Baltimore, June 13
Toronto, April 27
Phoenix, May 23
Boston, June 15
